MARTHA WAKEFIELD is an award-winning painter and photographer.  Her work has been shown in over 100 exhibits across the country including the Fitchburg Art Museum, Lasell University, Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts, and the Griffin Museum of Photography.  Awarded artist residencies include Weir Farm National Historic Site in Connecticut, Vermont Studio Center, and Orquevaux, France.  Martha’s work has been featured in several publications including Artscope, Boston Globe and Watercolor Artists magazine.  She is a former staff writer for The Palette magazine writing about professional artists and painting techniques.  Her paintings are in numerous corporate and private collections internationally. Martha also teaches art classes and intensive workshops on painting, color theory and creativity. She loves empowering artists of all levels in strengthening their artistic voices. Martha lives in Belmont, MA with her husband, fine art photographer Pip Shepley. She is a represented artist at Three Stones Gallery.
